 Welcome to the Westchester Putnam Baseball Association

The Westchester Putnam Baseball Association provides travel players with a comprehensive career, from the age of 9 to 23, and towns with an organized and highly competitive travel baseball and softball program for the summer and fall seasons.

The WPBA is a premier all-star baseball and softball organization, made up of approximately 40 different New York & Connecticut towns located in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Dutchess & Fairfield Counties.  The WPBA serves over 350 baseball teams, 125 softball teams, and 5,000 players.

To All WPBA Members:

 I am sorry to report the resignation of two of our Directors.

Vinny deMarte - a member of our Board and the 11-yr-old League Director for many years. 

Tim Guerra - League Director of our 16-yr-old divivision.

We will miss all the hard work and many hours they have given as volunteers.  Good luck in all your future endevors.

NOTE: 2008 Fall Team Registration (August 17th to 21st) Remember that only teams that participated in the Summer season are eligible for the Fall.

The WPBA Fall Season Registration meeting (all Town Baseball Directors must be in attendance/coaches are welcome), will be held FRIDAY @ 7:00pm on Aug 22, 2008 @  Reis Park Pavilion in Somers.  This is the meeting when each town declares how many teams they are entering into the fall season, the money is paid and the field availability/coaches sheets are handed in to the various League Directors.  

1-You must bring Field Availability.

2-Coaches Names and Contact Information.

3-Baseball orders and payment for teams and baseballs.

Team declarations can be emailed to me at demaa@wpba.us until 8/21/2008.

This is the only meeting before the schedules so there will not be any team additions after the 22nd..

The “Coaches” Breakout meeting (all coaches MUST be in attendance) will be held the following Wednesday @ 7:00pm Aug 27, 2008 at the same location.  

At this meeting the fall schedules will be handed out.

2008 Fall Season starts Friday pm, September 5TH, continues on weekends thru October 12th .

Playoffs  will be Friday pm (with lights) Saturday & Sunday October 17th thru the 19th.

Tournament championship games:  Saturday, October 25th  (rain date Sunday, October, 26th .  @ TBA

Tournament ends!!!

 

Directions to Reis Park, Somers, NY

 From Route 684 South : Get off at Exit 6. Turn left. Go west on Route 35 to Route 100 (approximately one mile). Turn right onto route 100. Go about 1/2 mile and bear left on Route 139. Go approximately 1 mile. Reis park is on the right. Pony league field is on the left in the park. The 12 and under field is straight ahead on the right.

From Route 6 : Go South on Route 118 (approximately 2 miles to stop light). Turn left onto Route 202. Go approximately 2 miles (through the stop light).At the light, 202 turns into Route 139. Stay straight on 139. Reis park is 1/2 mile past Somers High School on the left.
